Theoretically, because your home and your neighbor’s home are built on the same land it would make sense that just knowing the results of their radon test would be a good enough indicator for your home as well. So, it is the wisest course to get your specific plot tested.
Radon Tests are Too Time Consuming and Too Expensive
The truth is that you can get simple tests for under $20 and they only take a few days to get a reading. And since you just set it and forget it, you do not have to actively do anything while the test is being conducted.
